Not the same old recruitment experience… the ethical recruitment experience.

I set up H-F because I knew another recruitment world is absolutely possible – so much so, I left a great role, in a great business to do exactly that. I’d focussed on creating a truly ethical recruitment experience with a difference. So here I am.

You may ask yourself; what is ethical recruitment? Shouldn’t all recruitment be ethical? Of course, it should be.

But often, recruitment agencies can be focussed on treating candidates as mere numbers, shuffled around from opportunity to opportunity without conscious thought from the agency. Perhaps you may have experienced this before, and can see the telltale signs:

You see the reach out message… ‘Hey, we noticed your profile; you’d be a fantastic fit for…’

Followed by lots of energy up front from the recruiter – borderline stalker behaviour – they call you day and night – you feel like everything is possible, the job sounds wonderful, and they’re really interested in you.

Then, absolutely nothing. Nothing! You hear zero from them. You have to chase them – it feels like a bad date – and don’t feel anywhere near as engaged as you have before. Perhaps days or weeks pass without a response, or a wishy-washy reply.

Ping – a notification comes through after a few weeks or days – maybe you’ve secured an interview…but have no idea where you stand.

Then – you get the e-mail (or a phone call, if you are lucky) to say that perhaps, on balance, you’re not the right fit. You’re not entirely sure why; they don’t tell you – it’s like a mystery. You feel deenergised.
